Kathmandu, Aug 19: Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, who is in New Delhi on a five-day visit to India, met with her Indian counterpart S. Jaishankar this afternoon.
During the meeting, matters relating to further strengthening Nepal-India relations and promoting bilateral cooperation were discussed, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar also hosted a luncheon in honour of Foreign Minister Rana.
Foreign Minister Rana left Kathmandu on an official visit to New Delhi on Sunday at the invitation of Minister for External Affairs of India, Dr Jaishankar.
This is Rana’s first foreign visit since her assumption to the post of the Foreign Minister. She is scheduled to return home on August 22.
